Resumen
Fundado en febrero de 1983, el CEMOS es hoy una asociación civil que tiene como principal objetivo recopilar, conservar, resguardar, enriquecer y difundir el patrimonio documental de los movimientos y organizaciones políticas de las izquierdas mexicanas. Este centro resguarda los fondos documentales de diferentes agrupaciones socialistas que se agruparon en el PSUM, organización que fundó este centro con la intención de contribuir en la elaboración teórica y política de este partido y cuya historia esbozamos, al mismo tiempo que damos somera cuenta del acervo que resguarda.

Abstract
Founded in February 1983, CEMOS is today a civil association whose main objective is to collect, conserve, protect, enrich, and disseminate the documentary heritage of the political movements and organizations of the Mexican left. This center protects the documentary funds of different socialist groups that were grouped together in the PSUM, an organization that founded this center with the intention of contributing to the theoretical and political elaboration of this party and whose history we outline, at the same time that we give a brief account of the collection that protects.
